On Sunday Dec 19, just in time for Christmas, The Computer Club gave two new Dell PC's and one used PC to three worthy students.

Pictured below is 1st grader Dylan McCarthy with his "new" used computer and his Mother, Denise

Glenda Vera, from Bonita Springs Middle School introduces 6th graders Trevor Sweet and Vanessa Arrendondo. Neither student knew that they were there to receive a new Dell PC. With the students were proud parents Edward and Nicole Bolano, and Juan and Martina Arrendondo.

All three students will receive free internet service from Naples Free Net, also donated by The Computer Club

June 4/05 - 10pm.. it was fairly dry when I went out this morning, puddle wise. It didn't rain during the day and the water started to recede. Around 6:30 pm we had 20 minutes of heavy rain  (1 1/4 inches) and some of it came back. To be expected. I'm just lucky enough to be one of ones that lives in a low area I guess. Hope they don't raise my rent for water front acreage!

June 3/05 - 4 1/4 more inches today. That's 12 1/4 inches in four days folks! Thank goodness for canals and ponds.

10am....

noon...
I finally gave up and put on my bathing suit and went barefoot thru the park in the rain, and in my golf cart. I felt like I was 6 years old again. It was FUN! Weeeeeeeeeee!!!

The picture directly above that looks like a puddle with brown "dots" floating in it is actually fire ant colonies. The last picture is on colony close up.. or at least as close as I was going to get. The "dot" looks fuzzy because the ants are moving around to protect the Queen and her eggs.

4pm, just in the yard...

6pm.. it stopped!!!!
<---------- note the "dock" at Redblush

June 2/05 - The last 3 days in Citrus Park have (so far) brought 8 inches of rain, with more forecast for today thru til Sunday. The near dry pond at the Rec Hall is now almost overflowing. Anyone have an ark handy?

P.S... don't my new gardens look great? or they will when it dries out  lol

On Monday March 21st 05,I took a drive up to Arcadia. These pictures are just along hwy 17. There is much much more damage throughout the area. 7 months later, the damage from Hurricane Charley is far too evident. While putting everything inside your trailer won't stop a hurricane from damaging it, it will stop things from flying around and causing damage that could otherwise be avoided.
